My handmade jewelry is made primarily from second hand trinkets and toys, which would otherwise be discarded, only adding to pollution in the environment. The majority of my jewelry features plastic charms, which are not only lightweight; they’re durable too! It’s estimated that about 400 million tons of plastic are produced each year, and unfortunately less than 9% is recycled. Between 75-199 million tons of that are currently in our oceans which is bad for humans and animals alike.
